Fairuza Balk is an American actress known for her roles in Return to Oz, The Craft, The Island of Dr. Moreau and Personal Velocity: Three Portraits. Pariuza was born on 21st May 1974 in Point Reyes, California to parents, Cathryn Balk and Solomon Feldthouse. Her mother Cathryn Balk is a dance teacher and her father Solomon Feldthouse was a musician and one of the founding members of the 1960s psychedelic rock band Kalideoscope. Fairuza holds American Nationality and belongs to Caucasian Ethnicity.
Balk debut in a television film The Best Christmas Pageant Ever broadcast in 1983. She got a chance in Walt Disney Production’s Return to Oz and The Wizard of Oz. Her performance in her previous movies won her the role in another Hollywood project The Worst Witch and she was again featured in critically acclaimed and globally appreciated movie Gas Food Lodging.
Fairuza appeared as the lead in The Craft, Nancy Downs. The actress is also remembered for playing an intense role in movies like The Island of Dr. Moreau and American History X. She is involved in the Hollywood Big-screen projects from early 2000's till today's date.
Besides acting, Balk is also involved in the field of music as well as exhibit art.
