Dame Jane Morris Goodall, DBE was born on 3rd April 1934. She is an UN Messenger for peace. She is an English primatologist and an ethologist. She has received lots of honor as well as awards for her work to make peace in the world. She was born in London, England. Her parents were Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall and Margaret Myfanwe Joseph. Her father was a businessman and her mother was a novelist. During her childhood days, her father gave her a toy; it was a chimpanzee toy and it was named Jubilee by her father. It is from that time she started to like animals and became desirous to make peace in the world.

It was on 28th of November, 1964, when Dame Jane Morris Goodall married. She was married to a Dutch nobleman, Baron Hugo van Lawick. He was a wildlife photographer. The wedding ceremony was held at Chelsea Old Church, London. After the marriage, she changed her name to Baroness Jane van Lawick-Goodall.

They have one child: a son together and his name is Hugo Eric Louis who was born in 1967. However, this married life didn't last that long and in 1974, they ended their marital relationship with a divorce. Then she remained single for a year. One year later she got married to her second husband Derek Bryceson. He was one of the important persons of Tanzania's parliament. He was also the director of national parks in Tanzania.

They were living a happy married life until 1980, when he was diagnosed with cancer and died in October 1980. She then shifted to his position as the director of the national part and devoted her life for the protection of wild animals.

Dame Jane Morris Goodall was interested in animals since her childhood days. This interest took her to Kenya in 1957. She worked on a farm of her friend as a secretary. One day she called Louis Leakey, who was a Kenyan archaeologist and paleontologist.

The following year, the Kenyan archaeologist offered her to study primate behavior in London. He raised the fund and helped her to obtain a PhD degree in Ethology from the Cambridge University. The exact figure about her salary and her net worth is unknown to the press.
