Randy Yeuell Owen is an American country music artist. He is popular for being the lead singer of the country rock band Alabama which is the most successful group in the history of country music. He was born on December 13, 1949, in Fort Payne, Alabama, United States and grew up there. He belongs to the Christian family. He is of native American descent.
Yeuell Owen got married to Kelly. They got married when Randy was 25 years old and his girlfriend was 17. They turned to husband and wife in 1974.

Owen graduated from "Fort Payne High" in 1969. In the late 1960s, he and his cousins Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook formed a band, "Wildcountry". Their first public performance was at a high school talent show and they won the show.
