Richie Kotzen Biography
Richie Kotzen is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and a band member of the American rock band The Winery Dogs. Born on February 3, 1970, in Reading, Pennsylvania United States, Richie started playing piano at an early age of five and eventually learned guitar by the age of seven. The hard rock singer is currently signed to California-based Shrapnel Records and is often seen performing in the stage and live shows.
Richie started his career as the band member of Arthur's Museum before being discovered by Mike Varney, a music producer of Shrapnel Record's, who finally helped him record his first solo album at the age of 19. Following this, he also worked for a band named poison, Performing on the album Native Tongue. Highly inspired by musicians like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Richie's style of playing guitar is often described as the mix of rock, blues, jazz and soul music. Besides, he is also a songwriter and has written songs like Stand and Until You Suffer Some.
